IQVideography INTRODUCES 4K ULTRA HIGH DEFINITION VIDEO

It’s new and IQvideography has it! IQvideography is pleased to announce the latest wedding video technology.

ULTRA HIGH DEFINITION VIDEO, also called 4K. Consumer electronic stores already have 4K TVs set up for you to see and there’s a wide variety to sample from.

What is 4K? Do you remember your TV screen and monitors before 1080p? The image wasn’t that sharp, the contrast wasn’t as crisp. You could even see the pixels that made a curved line look like many jigs and jags of little straight lines which were the edges of the pixels.

4K is more than doubling of 1080p. 4K is here now and, if you choose, IQvideography is already shooting in this new format. We hope to have clips up soon of a wedding shot in 4K so you can see the difference for yourself.

The differences are tremendous.

Even though the actual 4K resolution has been altered (compressed) to 3840 x 2160 to fit the normal 16:9 picture format for TV, to 3840 x 2160, the difference is tremendous. That’s still four times the total number of pixels on a full HD 1080p screen which is just 1920 x 1080.

Your next TV may not be a 4K, but the one after that probably will be. TV manufacturers are dropping plasma and OLED, leaving as the standard, LEDs with 4K.

Enhancements of 4K TVs are already in the pipeline. Color and refresh rate will be improved and it’s coming soon.

4K is something for you to seriously consider for your wedding videography. It will future-proof your wedding movie. 4K will allow it to look its best in the not-too-distant future.

Because of the tremendous amount of digital information in the 4K format, editing will be more complex and time-consuming. The cost to shoot in 4K won’t be different but putting your movie together will be somewhat higher.

With 4K just on the horizon, we wouldn’t want you to regret that you didn’t consider 4K for your wedding video. It will look just as good on current HD TVs, and not to long from now, it will make a big difference when 4K TVs become the standard.
